Pika, squirrel, chipmunk, prairie dog
We love pikas! The are incredibly cute and their whistle is extremely loud particularly given their small size. Anytime we hear one of these whistles, a Schuetz can be heard shouting out....piiiikkkkaaaa.
Chipmunks have brought us many smiles. Once, when on Centennial Ridge by the hoodoos, Sam dropped an all dressed crisper, which is a very spicy cracker. A chipmunk grabbed it, started to eat it (see picture 13), and then immediately took off running down the mountain. We hunch that chipmunk was heading down to Ribbon Creek for a much needed drink of water.
