Even though Fred and I were struggling with a cold or flu, we found ourselves wanting to have a day in the mountains. So on Monday, May 27, we drove into Kananaskis and once again explored the area with short walks and photography. There's no question both of us were chomping at the bit to hike but home life, health and mountain conditions left us once again putting off climbing a mountain.

While there was still quite a bit of snow in Peter Lougheed, Upper Kananaskis Lake and Lower Kananaskis Lake were both unfrozen! Quite a few animals were out and about only serving to enhance our day's experience.
