September 1, 2019, Banff Lakes
On Sunday, September 1, Fred and I drove to Banff to connect with a couple, Sascha and Kathrin from Germany, that we actually met on the Tower of Babel scramble in June 2018. We really enjoyed our day with them last year, and so ended up staying in touch over the winter months. In addition to great conversations, Sascha and Kathrin remind me just how incredibly blessed I am to have the Canadian Rockies as my backyard.
After a lengthy lunch-dinner at Earls, Fred and I decided to extend our time in the mountains by visiting Two Jack Lake and Lake Minnewanka. It's hard to believe that it took us 24 years before we saw these gorgeous water bodies. The evening was the perfect temperature and the clouds made for beautiful photos.
